hello
my spouse is legal alien resident, however he has had two dui convictions and was told that a third would result in being deported. my question is would a quit claim deed protect me and our son who is 15 in being able to sell our home and collect any profits w/o interference from him should he return to this country? thank you for any direction or advice you may give.

Hi,
I can make out what you are going through at this moment.
If you have already quit claimed the property to your husband, then you cannot undo it without his signature. And, even if you haven't done so and are willing to get the property quit claimed to you, your husband has to sign as the grantor.
Thanks,
Sara.

If the husband has given his share of property to you through quit claim, it means you are now the owner, so you can obviously sell it and take all the profits. He cannot interfere if he has no share left in the property.
