my husband owned a house with his ex they divorced in divorce agreement she drew up herself staing he is not responsible for mortgage payments house notes etc. does that mean he is still on the deed of the house? and is he responsible for that loan? he did not do a quit deed
Hi,

As your husband has not quit claimed his share of interest in the house, if he was also part of the mortgage then he will still be responsible for the payments.

Thanks

Hi,

If he hasn't signed any deed to his ex-wife, then I think he is still the owner. One more thing, you can check out the divorce decree and find what it says about the ownership rights. And, he may be responsible for the loan if his name is on the mortgage note.

Thanks,

Sara.
