Timeshare paid in full over ten years ago. Now can I quit claim it to get rid of the annual maintence fees. I do not want to own it anymore.
Hi,
I think you would be able to quit claim your timeshare back to the owner's association or to the resort.
Thanks

Thanks J Thompson. I was told by one of those places that wants you to pay them to take your timeshare off your hands, that you can be sued for all the payments you do not make even with a quitclaim. They had an article about how this happened to someone. I thought that may an unusual circumstance.
Hi Christy,
You should get in touch with your resort's management to discuss all the issues that may arise if you quit claim the timeshare.
That way you can be sure that there will be no negative legal implications of the transfer.

Hi,
If there are no outstanding maintenance fees and loan balances then in my opinion the transfer is quite possible.
