existing medicaid recipient and quit claim

How does a quit claim affect the grantor that has been receiving medicaid for many years? Grantor cosigned on mortgage loan and now I have paid loan off and would like to remove her name from Deed so that I can sell the property. Is a quit claim the best way to do this? Thanks

If the name is removed from the property through a quitclaim deed, then the concerned person may not be able to receive the medicaid benefits.
