Deleting grantees off my title

Posted on: 03rd Nov, 2006 11:08 am
I own a condo where Im the grantor and grantee. I have two other grantees on my title and I would like to remove them. Can I do this with a quitclaim deed and if yes how do I do this?
hi,

if the other person’s on the title of your condo agree to give their portion in the condo to you then they can use a quit claim deed to transfer their interest in your name.

for giving their interest to you they will have to sign a quit claim deed which will state that they are transferring their interest to you.

thanks

Hi Xandr,

You can use a quit claim deed in order to remove their names from the title. To know about the entire process, refer to our section on Quit Claim Deed.

Thanks

Hi Xandr,

You can surely use the quit claim to remove the grantees. However, if you have initially conveyed a share of interest through the quit claim deed, then it will be difficult for you to cancel the deed and then prepare a fresh one. In that case, the grantees will have to transfer their shares back to you through quit claim deed.

Thanks,

Caron.
