Is Florida a community property state?
Yes, Florida is a community property state.
Hi Guest,
Florida is a community property state where the law regards all property acquired during marriage (except gift or inherited property) as community property. It may happen that a single spouse has earned the money required to get hold of the property. Even then, the property is regarded as community property. The laws in each community property state vary but most often spouses in such a state own property equally.
Thanks,
Caron.
