Hi, I sold and closed on my home last week. What a blessing. The buyer requested to buy some of my personal items. A large custom made entertainment cabinet, Viking 48" fridge, and a huge designer mirror. We agreed on $6,500.00 which is a deal the fridge sells for over $11,000 The fridge stated in contract does don't come with the house. And my personal items were agreed on.
At closing I was told I would receive a check shortly. We were waiting on final number from the bank for pay off. The next day when my agent went to get the personal check from the new buyer. He basically said this is my house now and everything she left behind is mine. WHAT?? This man has made up so may strange lies in order to seem like he should not have to pay for my person items....Crazy stuff....Anyway now what do I do. My agent has emails my contact ect discussing the purchase of my personal items. He's trying to steal my personal items. Today he called his realtor and said I took gas and wrote the words I'll get my money or something. Making both realtors go insane with worry. Telling them that the cops were looking for me ect. Really, Not to worry I've gone to the cops and he was lying. This man just bought a million dollar home you would think he would have some class. I guess money can't buy everything. Please note I'm a 5' 110 pd women I'm not that scary. I'm worried he will tell so many lies I will get in trouble. I'm a single mom with 2 kids, all I did was sell my house. He knows that I will win when I take him to court, So I think he's trying to make me look bad...
Do you have anything in writing? Are you willing to go to court as that may be your only recourse - If the agents were involved with this deal I would insist that they be the front line and cover this or include them in your litigation - this is total BS - I hate jerks

Good Luck

Yes, I have emails between both realtors. I signed a contract but I not sure what him and his realtor Gail Kepley had going on. As a seller I just done what I was told. The buyer agreed to pay this amount to purchase. I expected the agent to take care of everything. So I left my things. I'm going to small claims court and praying.
