Hi Vgray,

As long as your name is on the mortgage, it will appear on your credit report. But if your ex is able to get the loan refinanced in his name then its entry will get removed from your report.

Vgray, if your husband is going to refinance the house in his name only, then it will not show on your credit report any longer. It will look like the house was paid off, but probably not raise your scores significantly, if at all. If you still want part ownership in the house, then you need to have your name on title.
