My wife and I have just decided to purchase a home. she is putting 50% down. i will be the only one on the mortgage. i want her to be on the title as half owner. Do we just do the quick claim deed?
Chris, at the time of purchase the deed can be made out as such which will make both of you equal owners of the home.

Yes Chris, at the time property is purchased the deed can be drafted to specify that you and your wife will hold equal share of ownership over the house.

hi chris,
first of all i want to say that it's not quick claim deed. actually it is quit claim deed by which we can transfer the interest of the title.
you are looking to add your wife name in title. that you can easily do with quit claim deed. one thing is that she will not liable for the mortgage.
thanks
