Refinance

Posted on: 09th Apr, 2007 12:10 pm
i purchased property from my ex-boyfriend. my name is on the mortgage exclusively and we both share the deed. he will not let me out of the house and i don't have the money for an attorney to file a partition suit at this time. i would like to refinance the home to pay back taxes since he has not made any payments. is this possible?
great advice sharlee!

i think atlanta can consider giving a part of the cash-out to her ex so that he allows for the refinance. and, as far as her credit getting affected is concerned, it will not be so because partition lawsuit and foreclosure are different issues.

thanks,
james.

Welcome Atlanta, but please do let us know what finally gets decided about the house, do you file the lawsuit or are able to refinance in your name or any other way out is found.
