Hi, Need to know if the goverment bailout program for homeowners that are upside down not in forecloser is available yet. I keep hearing that there is money going to be there for these homeowners to refi' and cut there payments wya down so as not to lose their homes. Can anyone tell me if the money/loans are available yet and if so what and where can I find these loan agents. Who should i talk to? Thanks Cindy

there is a program called "hope for homeowners" which was created for those who are at a risk of default. with this plan such homeowners will be able to refinance the loan into an affordable loan. this program was introduced on 1st october, 2008 and will be in effect till 30th september, 2011.
you can contact your existing lender or a new lender and discuss with them as to how you can qualify for this program. they will also tell you whether you are eligible for the program or not. check out the following link to know more about this program:
