I want to buy a house, but I have been separated -not legally- for 2 years, so I don't want him to be in the title. What should I do?
Hi mabel_eliana,
As far as I know, you will be able to buy a property separately in your name. This will be considered as your seperate property. You should only include your name in the title of the property while buying it. However, things would have been much easier if you were legally seperated from your husband. I would suggest you to contact an attorney and take his opinion before purchasing the property.
Thanks

i won't find any problem with this situation in any way. As the property is owned by the person whose name is there on the deed.So if you are putting only your name on it then surely you won't have t worry in this case.
but let me also remind you about one thing mortgage (if you are planning for some ) company may ask you about the marital status so you should be able to give good valid answer about it so then surely you will not face any problem in future as far as legality of the property is concerned.
