I got a letter that my mortgage lien was released and was told verbally after trying to speak with someone to catch it up that they were not going to pursue foreclosure. How can I resolve this. I was going through a divorce, had surgery and got behind. I tried for two months to talk and make payments to the bank and they would not speak with me. I only owe 29000 on the loan. Need some advice...
Hi davisph,
If you have received a letter stating that your mortgage lien has been released, then you do not owe them anything. Have you checked your credit report? Have they really charged off the loan?
Thanks

Hi davisph!
Welcome to the forums!
They did not speak to you because the lien was released. Did this lien release impact your credit in any negative way?
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
