I rent my home and there have frequently been strange letters taped to the door labeled 'Mortgagor Confidential'... on an occasion when it was just a piece of paper all it said was to call a number.
I've passed all of these on to my landlord, but they haven't ever stopped.
Recently a notice was left in my mailbox for the landlord to pick up a piece of certified mail from the post office from Wells Fargo.
Being a renter I'd kind of like to know where this is heading. Is this a sign of an impending foreclosure?

Sounds like it. Usually the trustee will send out the notice of default to as many addresses as on file for owner. I have seen they will mail 10 certified letters to same address in same day. What state is the property in? There are some ways you can look to see if in foreclosure. There are tenant rights pertaining to you, depending on your state. For example, if in CA, and you are renting from landlord who loses home to foreclosure, the new owner, MUST by law, adhere and honor you existing rental agreement. So if you have an agreement for 1 year, commencing 3 months ago, by law, you are entitled to live out the rest of your lease.
Which state are you in johnlawns ? i think its because of some landlord tenant rights.
