Considering chap 7 in the state of MN living together 13 years , not married, upside-down house several cars

I am a veteran recieving disability, she is a nurse (50,000K income) our house is barely upside down and would like to keep it. We have given cars to both our adult kids years ago now valued at 1,200 each, my auto is valued at $2,800, hers 9 to 10 thousand all clear, all in her name, as is the house. My disability cannot be counted, I make about 4 to 7 thousand cash-I don't bother filing income tax. We have about 60,000 in credit card debt. I am concerned about keeping her car-she worked terribly hard for it.
hi rr!

welcome to forums!

if both of you jointly file bankruptcy, then the car will be included in the bankruptcy filing and the trustee can sell it off to pay off the creditors. if she is not filing bankruptcy with you, then the car will be safe.

feel free to ask if you've further queries.
