Hi Matt,
If you feel that there is any error in your credit report, you can send in writing to the Credit Bureau (who has prepared your report) about such discrepancy and request them to correct it. For any more information, please go through our previous discussions on How to Correct Errors in Credit Report.
Thanks,
Caron.

Matt, I once fell into a similar sitiuation and i had to complain to the FTC. And, it works!
hi,
even if you do a quit claim, you are still responsible for the debt until and unless that person refinance the loan in his/her name. however, if there is any discrepancy in your credit report then you can send a letter to the credit bureau, mention the details, and request them to correct it.
