Posted on: 10th Jan, 2011 10:24 am
hello, i was divorced in will co illinois in jan of 2008. the loan and title were in my ex-wife's name and we were completely caught up on all payments and there were no leins of any kind. now my ex is in forclosure and my name is listed as a defendant. in the divorce papers i gave all rights to the property to my ex. do i need a quit claim deed to protect myself? can the mortgage company come after me for the loan?
