I am going to marry a man who has very high unpaid debts for medical care,, in excess of 90,000. Can the creditor make a lien against his personal property and how would I find out what liens may be in place?

The creditor can place the lien against the person's personal property. However, in order to do so, he will have to file a lawsuit against him and get a judgment from the court. You can contact the county recorder's office in order to find out if the property has any liens against it.
