i am trying to get a MHA loan mod, which i understand to get approved for trial payments may take up to 6 months. I have been told that even if i get accepted for mod the trial period may take up to another 9 months. a year and a half is a long time, if i get married before the mod is permanent, will it effect the mod? the property/mortgage is in my name alone, will they make me take his full income into account?
Hi Guest,
Welcome to Mortgage fit,
HAMP will expire on Dec.31 2012 so your trial period should end before that.As far as your question is concerned If you can pay your trial payments in full for 3 consecutive months and submit all the required docs. in time.I don't find any reason for the delay in permanent status of loan modification.
But your spouse's will not be considered in this case and thus will not affect the modification process.for further information on the subject matter you may also give a call on this number..888-995 HOPE (4673) and ask for “MHA HELP.â€
you can also visit this link for the info ..make sure you watch the video on that page and most of your doubts related to the program will be cleared.

Feel free to ask any further query if you have.....
