Judgement on attorney fees

Posted on: 23rd Sep, 2008 06:11 am
My husband had a condo in Miami the loan was in his name only He passed away last year and I called the mortgage company and told them I could not pay this I would try to sell it with no luck. I am on the title I am receiving a letter for a final judgement for attorney fees from a attorney, also stated on the judgement is the mortgage company(country wide and the Homeowners association. Can he get a judgement from me because I am on the title?
You should really consult a real estate attorney as soon as possible.

I am not one, but I think that they can in fact come after you since you are the owner of the home.

I urge you to contact a local professional immediately and discuss with them your options.

Hi Guest!

I completely agree with chrisburns that you should consult an attorney. He/She will be able to help you by telling you the options and will help you with the legal proceedings.
