Hi priscilla!
Welcome to forums!
As far as I know, you can transfer the property in your name in order to protect it. However, you should note that the property should be transferred before the law suit is filed otherwise, it will be taken as a fraudulent transfer.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

Hi Priscilla,
I'd like to know the reason for the judgment filed against your husband. Does the house have a mortgage in it? or is the judgment filed because of unpaid mortgage debt? If you simply transfer property in your name, chances are that it could be considered as fraudulent conveyance.
May god bless you.

The other thing to watch out for is if you are in a community property state and you are married - what happens to your husbands assets could very well happen to yours, so, transferring the property into your name and not his may be a moot point.
