They can send advertisements but if you wish not to receive any further such mails from them then give them a reply stating so. After receiving your mail they will not send any further mails.

Most such advertisements mails have a unsubscribe link which they provide if the receiver doesn't want to receive any future correspondence from them.
If you click on it then no further mails will be sent to you.

It is quite common for a mortgage company to advertise a loan via e-mail. But, I don't suppose there is any law that prohibits such advertisements.
Incase if you don't want to receive such types of mailed advertisement, inform them about this.
