[/font:6d05f0405c]My children and I live in my grandaunt's home and have done so for the last 6 years. Last year I could no longer provide her with the care she needed and placed her in a nursing home. The 1st 10months of being in the nursing home her care was paid using her money and medicaid kicked in the last 3months of her life.
Now my mother has inherited the home. To avoid a medicaid lien being placed on the home can we simply agree to a payment plan?
Also, can my mother sign the deed over to me to give the home to me?[/color:6d05f0405c]
Welcome purplepassion,

Your mother can agree to a payment plan with the Medicaid. If she does so, then she will be able to save the property and transfer it to you.
