Are there specific rules for mortgage assistance due to employment relocation?...My employer is moving 4 hours away. I have a job if I move. We have been trying to sell our house and no luck. We cannot afford 2 payments. Have been advised to possibly use Deed in Lieu. Are there different rules for our situation or government help. We are not in any payment trouble yet but will be when we move.
Hi guest,
Welcome to forums.
I understand your situation. But I don't think there are any rules as such. I've heard of mortgage assistance being offered when you can't pay. or the lender providing alternative options to help one pay down the loan. But do you have 2 mortgages on the same property?
If have you been paying premiums for private mortgage insurance, then you could get reimbursement from the insurance company. What do you say?
