Hello there... I have received an unconditional release of listing agreement by the broker as well as the agent at the beginning of July. Now, at the closing, the closing officer says that I need to contact the agent and pay him off the commission for the sale or else they can hold off the closing. What should I do?

Though it is an unconditional release, there must be a protection clause mentioned in the agreement. Due to that protection clause, you will have to pay the commission to the listing agent.
