Well spoke with the loan officer today about 3:45, he told me he had not heard about the loan request yet but should by 5pm, said he would call me back. . never did.
So now someone else is interested in the house and I have until June15th to get financing, bankruptcy won't be 2 years old until Sept and now I have paid $500 to secure this.
I am dealing with someone else now and we will see how that goes, my lease is up in about 6 weeks. . I really want this house and I have to figure this out. Any ideas?

Hi Caresid,
It is good to see that you are working so hard to get the house. You have started to work with someone else. So hope, this time you will be able to get approved for the mortgage.
Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
Best of luck,
Larry

What part of the country are you located, Caresid?
you were more forgiving of the first, ineffective, lender than you ought to have been.
i hope you know something more about this new lender that will give you confidence in their ability to provide the financing.
honestly, 6 weeks ought to be more than enough time to begin and end the processing of your loan and allow you to close before you are forced out of your lease situation.
if your loan is not workable, a reasonable and reputable lender should advise you of that in the first several days, rather than making you wait and wait and wait and continue to assert that the problem is with underwriting.
you probably found one of the worst loan officers out there the first time; here's hoping the second one is a better fit.
