What questions should I be asking the realtor when viewing the home besides HOA fees, property taxes, etc? I know I am getting a home inspector to inspect the home I really want. Any thoughts?
Hi Benny,
You should ask questions pertaining to utility bills and the average home owner's policy going for in that area. You should ask by energy efficiency as well.
Thanks,
Jerry

You need to clarify all your doubts regarding the conditions of the house, liens on the property, damages and on anything which comes to your mind. Anyways, getting the home inspected by a qualified home inspector is a must.
Clarify all your doubts no matter how trivial they may seem. You can also take the advice of an attorney in this regard.
Hello! What I always suggest to people who are looking at homes is to write down a list of questions that are important to you. For example if you have kids, asking about school distracts is always a good question. If you write a list of things that you know you want or questions you know you are going to want answered, it will make it a lot easier!
Hi Benny!
Welcome to forums!
You may ask for comparable sales within the last 90 days and get specifics for the sold properties. You should also ask how the inventory is now, what is the absorption rate for the specific neighborhoods you are considering.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
