can the home be taken away from the grantee if the grantor is put into a state facility for the elderly. grantee is paying for the property at the time

As the property has been already transferred to the grantee, then chances are less that the state facility will be able to take it back. However, if the grantor goes for Medicaid, then it will have a look back period of 5 years. In that period of time, the grantor may not be eligible for Medicaid benefits.
