My wife and I bought a home on land contract just two months ago from a local builder here in Michigan and closed at a title company. In order to protect the home against creditors, lawsuits or judgments what's the best option now as I realized after the closing I should have titled it differently by keeping our names off title. Our land contract is not reported on our credit reports but does show up on the country register of deeds. I have been reading about a Land Trust and LLC but not sure what the Michigan law is. Is it too late to protect our house from these scenarios?

You can contact a real estate attorney and he will help you in transferring the property into a land trust or an LLC. If your creditors haven't filed any lawsuits against you, then you can go for this option.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
