Is it possible to remove my wife from the mortgage? When we did the closing she was put on the note.

She was put on the note but she was never ask for income information, she didn't even had a social security card at that time. Now I come to realize that her name is on the mortgage and by pulling her credit report doesnt even show the mortgage. Is there a way to remove her from the mortgage ? I know the name would stay on the title.
