I want to buy a home but wheres the best place to look for loans and etc.
I have answered some of your other questions.
You shop for mortgages on line, in person, call ads from newspapers, anything you can think of.
Mortgage money comes pretty much from the same three sources these days. You do not talk to those three sources because they provide the money, they do not talk to borrowers (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and FHA; there are also porfolio lenders who use their own money, but, typically only with a down payment of 20% or more).
So, you talk to one or more lenders who actually all get their money from the same places. You are shopping and comparing, mostly finding someone with whom you are comfortable and develop a certain amount of trust based on conversations.
I am licensed in the tri-state area and you mentioned that may be the area of your future purchase. You are welcome to contact myself.
