I am in the process of trying to buy a short sale. It has been 90 days and now the FHA has to approve the price. Does anyone know how long it takes for the FHA to approve this stuff?
Hi lkoley!
Welcome to forums!
I haven't heard of any such time period for FHA to approve the price. However, as far as I know, they will quote the price asap.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

i am not sure I understand what you are saying. We put and offer on a house that is a short sale with the FHA. The bank has had it for 90 days and are now sending the offer to the FHA. Just wondering if anyone has any experiance with this and how long it generally takes for the FHA to approve or couter offer
Hi Guest,
There is no such time period within which the FHA has to approve or counter the offer. You need to keep in touch with your lender so that you get to know what FHA has to say in regards to your property.

It might take around 90 days to complete.
