My house is going to auction, I have removed all the appliances, cabinets and other items from it to...Can I get in trouble, if I do this prior to the sale date, I believe the house is still mine until it transfers title.
Welcome lif,

I suppose you can remove the items before the sale because other than the house your personal property shouldn't be considered when it comes to selling off the house at an auction.

The answer is yes.....Your mortgage lien holder will file a claim against your homeowners insurance and then the insurance company can come after you both criminally and via civil action.....There is a case in MA where a former homeowner has sent to prison for 5 years for doing exactly what you did........I'm sorry for your situation but you ned to rectify what you have done.
