We owed taxes in 2007, we went to tax service to pay our taxes on the house. well we ggot behind and didn't pay for them in a while. They sent new invoices in January 2011, paid for jan., but they sent back feb, and march. now they sent our paperwork to a lawyer and the law company sent us a letter of acceleration. Can they take our house from us.
Hi moreno,
If the taxes are not paid on time, then your property can be foreclosed. However, you should contact your lender and negotiate with him so that he accepts the payments now and stops the foreclosure proceedings. This will help you save your property.

they can take your house from you but some legal terms they have to take in cosideration.
Have they sent you any notice? Have you talked with themabout their procedure?
Also i am sure some grace period might be there for tax payment.
I would say just go and discuss issue with lender..
best of luck......
