Hello there… I am planning to rent a property and have also zeroed upon one. What does it mean when renting a place says utilities included? It says that utilities like Heat, Water, Air Conditioning, Trash Pickup, etc are included. Does this mean I have to pay those or they pay?
Hi Berry,
Well, when the agreement says "utilities included", it actually means that the listed utilities are included in the rent payment. You won't have to pay for them separately.
Take care

In order to ensure a safe deal, it'll be best for you to work out the agreement with a real estate attorney.
Ask the landlord to write out in the lease which utilities are included and which are not so there is no dispute later.
