We, personnally, have had a mortgage with Lehman Bros, SBF, since 2006 for our small business. Always paid extra, for our goal to pay off as soon as we could and never late, always early. Our check sent in Sept for our Oct. 1 payment has not cleared (as of Oct 15) and have not received statement yet for next payment. Usually clears in 2 to 3 days. What's happening? What should we do?
Hi ROW!
You must have noticed that Lehman Bros have filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and as far as I know their North American Investment were sold to Barclays. Generally when a lender files bankruptcy, he sells his assets to another financial institution under the supervision of the bankruptcy court. You should contact with their representative and find out where they have sold your mortgage.
Thanks.
