Where can you get a mortgage with a fico of 583 mostly past lates etc
Hi kmcintyre!
Welcome to forums!
You can apply for a FHA loan with a credit score of 583. However, if you've too many negative items on your credit report, then you may not get the mortgage.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

I have a Fico of 589. Two credit cards with a limit of $500 each and income of 60,000.
I have some past negative items on my history. These were credit cards that went into collection but I paid everything off mid 2009.
Do I stand a chance?

Hi brownk,
With a credit score of 589, you'll be able to get a FHA loan in order to buy a property. You should contact your local FHA lenders and apply for a mortgage. The lenders will check your financial situation and let you know whether or not you'll get a loan.
