Buy a condo

Posted on: 13th May, 2013 01:56 am
Hi there… I am planning to buy a condo in the near future and was looking out for some of these condos. Well, I found that the HOA fees of these condos are quite high $400 - $450. Is this normal? Can it be negotiable?
Hi Dixy,

HOA fees differ depending on the size and age of the complex. Apart from this, the fees also depend upon services or amenities offered by the HOA. However, you won't be able to negotiate on the HOA fees. Every unit is assigned a percentage it is required to pay depending on the size of the unit.

Take care

Hello, HOA do differ because of many different variables including not only size, age but also location and different amenities. For example a gated community will likely have a steeper HOA fee then a non gated community. Hope this helped!

I guess the fees can not be negotiated on this matter.or study all the docs, term and policy before signing any deal.
