I purchased my home in 2007. My insurance company is forcing me to place a new roof on my home that has never had any damage to it. This new roof is costing me $26000. Is there anyone that I can go back on for this? Shouldnt there have been some agreement or something said when FHA came out to inspect the property? This is alot of money to put out that I really don't have and should not have to be paying so soon after buying my home. This is the 1st home I've ever purchased.
Hi Guest,
If the roof is not damaged, then the insurance company cannot force you for a new roof. You need to contact your attorney and take his opinion in this regard. He might deal with your insurance company and you may not have to go for a new roof.
Thanks,
Jerry
