I just got out of an abusive marriage and I want to buy a house for my daughter and myself. But the problem tough I can provide with a bid down payment, I do not have credit. I wasn't allowed to have any credit cards during my marriage.
Well, unless you have a good credit, the high down payment won't be of any help. A good credit score is one of the important factors that the lender will take into consideration. You can rent a property for the time being, build up your credit and then you can look out for a loan.
Hi Guest,
You can apply for secured credit cards and start building up your credit. You can even check out the given page in order to know the steps to improve your credit: http://www.mortgagefit.com/credit-rating/credit-repair.html .
