stressed out during our home buying process

Can anyone offer any advice or tips to help get through our closing in May? We have our required down payment saved up (FHA), mortgage company is reviewing our paperwork -- but we feel like we're suffocating. While we know it's not helping that our wedding is in June, we feel like we're so broke and are going to have to eat ramen noodles until closing! :) We literally have our paychecks planned out to the last dollar, so it feels like the end of the world.

How did you get through this exciting and stressful time?
i am also a new @ this game,we have just started the contract phase and moving into lender chioce,i thought if i had to continue to look @ homes
i was going to be sick,it is very stressful.now i am just trying to educate
myself on the ends and out of the loan i am blessed with a good job and
supportive husband, but all of these terms seem foreign,do i trust all these
lenders and realtor i am very nervous, but i am just going to strive forward with prayer and asking God to continue to provided the right path,i think he know how hard it is to own.

Hi Guest,

The time period for closing may vary from one lender to another. As far as I know, the FHA loans may take around 2-3 weeks to close. However, I would suggest you to have a word with your lender and check out as to when your closing date will be.

Thanks

the entire process of shopping for, preparing for, and purchasing a new home is one of the most stressful times you'll ever spend. let's just complicate it with an upcoming wedding and see what happens. WOW!

your stress levels will decline once you've closed and wed - please believe that. you co-conspirator up above (rainbowjm) has the right idea - pray about it! that'll provide you with peace of mind as well as comfort in knowing that it'll all work out.

as long as you have competent folk working with you - i hope they're not making this stress any worse than you are - you'll be fine with the lender, realtor, etc. you must have an attorney in your corner, as well, i'm hoping.

try your best to be calm and remember that all the planning, the fretting and the sweat and the tears (hopefully no blood) will render your decision to do all this to be a fruitful and pleasant one once things all settle down.

and they will settle down! yes, they will...please don't deny it.
