i have been partially approved for a mortgage loan but the only problem is that my husband has started a new job and they pay him cash and i cant find anyone who is willling to co borrower with us what can i do?
While I am no expert in these matters, I would schedule an appointment with the loan officer at the bank and explain the situation. I would try to prove that my spouse has been fiscally responsible in the past and will promise to be so in the future. Furthermore, I would ask my spous employer to provide an letter describing the specifics of spouse's employment and salary, etc. I would also call the IRS and explain the situation and ask them whether they could arrange for an official letter stating that they are aware of the spouses employment situation and that they fully expect the spouse to file the federal tax return when the time comes. I would also seek advice from the real estate attorney.
