i purchase one (1) duplex that was titled on two (2) deeds. so i have two (2) mortgages and split property taxes. i would like to get them put on to one (1) deed and refinance the two (2) mortgages into one (1) mortgage.
i have owned the properties for two (2) years now, and i have determined that my taxes are about $1,000 more than a similar duplex that i own that is on one (1) title.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
the properties are in lee's summit, mo, jackson county.
thanks,
allen

You are likely going to need to get the parcels combined into one lot with a duplex with the county prior to any lender agreeing to originate one loan on the duplex. Have you attempted to inquire with the county on how to accomplish this?
I haven't done anything but complain to my wife about it so far.
I thought about the county or a local title company.
So you think starting with the county would be the best option?
Thanks for you response.

Ya that is where I would start gathering information on how this could get accomplished. A real estate attorney may be of assistance as well just to inform you on how to go about combining the parcels.
Sorry for my bad english. Thank you so much for your good post. Your post helped me in my college assignment, If you can provide me more details please email me.
