The bank or loaner emailed my comittment letter to my real estate broker and not to me. I was not aware of this for some time. The broker then sent it onto the seller's lawyer and claimed that she emailed me a copy. I found this very suspicious.
Is this legal upon the bank or the broker?
Thank you

Hi jdelucia!
Welcome to forums!
In some states, the seller has the right to request for the buyer's loan commitment letter from the Buyer's Agent as a proof. If the seller has a savvy Agent, then the Agent may also verify the validity of the Pre-Approval Letter by requesting a Loan Commitment Letter. The broker has to provide the seller or his Agent with a copy of loan commitment letter.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
