Will i be approved for a conventional loan with 6 months job history/

Posted on: 01st Aug, 2010 10:28 pm
I started with my new job last year (July2009 - August 2009), had to take a leave of absence and just started working again this year of April 2010. Is there a chance for me to get qualify for a conventional loan given my work history. I worked back in 1996-1998 with the same field I am right now. Also, worked from 2003-2006 but that was on the different field.

I do have a credit score of 726.

Can't do FHA loan, spouse had a foreclosure.

I just went in and tried to apply actually (trying to purchase a brand new house - quick move in sale), but still waiting for the result ( loan offier has to ask the underwriter . I just want to know if they might still consider my application or not, so I could still withdraw and have my earnest deposit back before it's too late.
Hi lan,

It would depend upon the lender whether or not he would consider your employment history and offer you a loan. You should apply for a mortgage with the local lenders and check out if you can get pre-approved for a loan.

If you're aren't offered a loan, then you can go for the option of owner financing in order to purchase a property.

Take care.
