I refinanced my house and closed on it the end of August. My new lender does not require an escrow fund so I do not have one....payment of taxes and insurance are my responsibilty...
Thus far I have not gotten my refund check for the balance which was in my escrow fund with my former lender...and my taxes are coming due...
When I called them, i was told that there was a note that I was due this refund and it would take about 30 days....We are at the 30 day mark and I am waiting impatiently. Is there a legal time limit on how long they can keep using my money before refunding it to me?

Hi aewswc,
Normally, the lender should refund you the money in your escrow account within 30 days. As the 30 day mark is about to be over, you should contact your lender and request him to disburse the money asap. I'm sure he'll take needful steps to refund the money.
Thanks
