My roommate and I are trying to buy a house together and we are now in the beginning stages of closing. Now here's the deal, she's married but has been seperated not legally for 20 years and they have nothing together she recently filed for divorce about 2 months ago so it's still awhile before it's final. Is this going to be a problem for us getting the house with an fha loan?
Welcome monique,
I don't think there would be any problem in getting a FHA loan. If both of your have the required credit scores, income and debt to income ratio, you will be able to get a mortgage to buy your property.

If it's a community state, you will have an issue. They will count ex's debts into your debt to income ratio until the divorce is finalized.
