How to get off a mortgage taken.
Hi ryanpaul,
If you are the sole borrower of the mortgage, then you will have to pay off the mortgage in full in order to remove your name from it. If you are a co-signer for a mortgage loan, then the primary borrower will have to refinance the loan in his or her name so that your name is removed from the mortgage doc and you do not have any responsibility to pay it off.
Thanks

Hi Ryanpaul,
If the mortgage is in your name then either you have to pay it in full or else you can convince someone to re-finance the loan in his/her name. If the loan is in joint name then tell your co-signer to re-finance the loan in his/her name. This totally depends on the co-signer. You need to discuss this with your lender as well.
All the best.
