I am a 29 year single mother, living in a house with a five year old child.
I have a land contract with my Uncle.
I have replaced the front door due to the fact that the old door had not been locking properly.
My Uncle has now served me with Land Contract Forfeiture papers.
Stating #1 I have unpaid insurance premiums which is a lie i have paperwork for the insurance company that shows no gaps in coverage.
#2 that i have altered the house without permission, but the contract states that it is my responsibility to keep the house in "good repair, at my expense". "(I am) responsible for all household repairs"
Please let me know if you can help me and/or how to proceed.

Hi Junkdrawer!
Welcome to forums!
Considering the points that you have mentioned, your uncle cannot take any legal actions against you. You should have a word with your uncle and try to sort out the matter. If the matter does not get resolved, then you will have to take legal help.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hi Junkdrawer,
I agree with what Sussane has said. I personally feel that it will be better if you could get in touch with an attorney and take his help in this regard.
