My wife and I live off of a trust fund and my income from the military. I am getting out of the military and will be unemployed when we want to buy a house so my income will not be a factor. The money we have been using from the trust is not enough to qualify us for a loan. We have the ability to take out more than enough to make payments but don't have the income history to show that. Any advice on how we can go about qualifying for a loan would be great.
Thanks

Hi HeloCapt,
Unless you can show a proper income and job history, it will be very difficult for you to qualify for a loan. Nevertheless, you can contact the Veterans' Administration and check out if they can assist you with a VA loan.

Many of the ex-armed forces personnel in the country opt of VA loan, guaranteed by the Department of Veteran Affairs. You can look out for a VA lender in your locality.
